About This Item
(London): Longmans, (Green and Co Ltd, 1968). First edition. Inscribed by Steen to "Rache" - i.e. Horatio Henry Lovat Dickson, the publisher and writer, and dated in the year of publication. Dickson is mentioned briefly in the text of the book. The endpaper bears a label recording the gift of the book from Lovat Dickson, to Winter's College Book Room at York University. Laid in is an e-mail from Winter's College explaing that the Book Room was closed and the books sold. Marguerite Steen was married to the British painter, Sir William Nicholson. Label on dust jacket spine is the only other library marking; light foxing to page edges, else very good in dust jacket..
