Friday Harbor: Griffin Bay Book Store, 1999 In 1859 Great Britain and the US almost went to war when an American farmer shot a British Pig. When it was over, the pig was the only casualty. From the collection of Wayne Prescott Suttles, renowned anthropologist, scholar, and linguist regarding many Pacific cultures, and especially the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast Salish people. The book is warmly inscribed to Dr. Suttles, signed by the author and dated on the title page. Condition notes: (xii), 273 numbered pp; TPB. Pages: clean, bright, tight; b.e. has a few marks. Cover: glossy b/w wraps w/ re banner at top, b/w photo+ black titles front/spine; v lt edge/shelfwear, extrems barely worn, spine and adjacent boards slightly sunned
