London: Macmillan & Co. Ltd., 1949. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. This is a first printing of the first edition, with the title page bearing the the publication date of 1949., with The interior of the book is clean and tight with few signs of previous use. There is some light foxing to the top and side edge of the text block, but no other problems. The light blue covers are fresh with slight wear to edges and corners. The dust jacket is only in Good condition, with chipping and edgewear. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover.
