The pages are tanned, mainly at the margins, but are still supple. The dus t jacket has rubs to its corners and spine tips. The rear panel is wri nkled. This is Roloff Beny's photographic interpretation of Macaulsy 's Pleasure in Ruins. Includes 160 pages of photogravure, 12 hand-moun ted colour plates, and 29 maps and plans of the sites.
