'Moralia' is one of only two surviving works of Greek philosopher Plutarch. While not as widely known or recognized as 'Parallel Lives,' 'Moralia' is still a rather important work. It is a collection of seventy-eight various essays and transcribed speeches each of which provide an understanding of Roman and Greek life in the 1st-century AD. These essays have been known to make a significant impact on Enlightenment thinkers such as Montaigne.
