Third edition (revised); in Portuguese; small 8vo; pp. [5], vi-xxii, [3], 2-288, [4]; original marbled boards with 1/4 leather spine; three raised bands to spine; gilt title; minor wear to boards (mostly along edges); leather along spine edges show wear and rubbing; previous owner's name to first free page; text clean and unmarked; very good condition. Vicente de Carvalho Augusto was a Brazilian journalist, politician, poet, and short-story writer. His "Poemas e Cancoes" (Poems and Songs) marked the beginning of his poetic career.
