NEW YORK: A. L. Burt , 1918 . Hardcover. NEAR FINE . Reprint; title page indicates "From the Latest London Edition". No date except for a 1918 gift inscription to rear of contents page--one can only assume this class of gift was new. Complete volume of Tennyson's poetry with two columns of text to each page. 682 pp. Limp tan leather boards, with gilt lettering ("Tennyson") to front board. Enclosed in original off-white box. Top edge gilt. Decorative endpapers. Light thumbing to top and bottom corners with a bit of minor wear. Moderate creasing to spine, including light shelf-creasing to spinecaps. Light creasing to limp leather on borders of both boards. Slight fading to portions of leather on spine, both boards. Light age-tanning to very edges of text. A tiny bit of creasing to top edge of front and rear endpapers. 1.5 inch closed tear to top of rear hinge. Just a tiny bit of light scratching and spotting to top edge. One very small faint spot to title page. Very faint crease to upper corner of last 70 or so pages of text. Former owner's inscription in pen to rear of contents page. Light wear to extremities of box. Moderate scratching and rubbing to box surfaces with a bit of light scratching. Light tideline to much of surface of front half of box, extremities of bottom half. Bright and clean.
