Covers are moderately soiled, else a very good copy in incomplete dust jacket; the pictorial jacket is quite worn, lacking front flap, with large creased tear and few chips on front panel (early tape mend on verso), else quite bright (reproducing a painting of John Strick on front panel). First edition. 8vo. John Strick was born in Derby, England in 1918, and killed in action in 1944.

Inscribed by Iris Strick on the front flyleaf: "Clinton N. Ruten from Iris Strick, Abbotsham Court... Devon England."
