About This Item
NY: A.S. Barnes & Company; (1948). First Edition . Hardcover. First printing (no statement of printing on copyright page or front jacket flap), very good in a poor dust jacket. Green cloth with dark green lettering on spine and front board. Book is just a little dusty, but otherwise tight and square with no names or other markings. The jacket (which has the $3.00 price on the front flap) is separated at the front panel/spine fold, and the spine is sunned. There are chips at both spine ends wrapping to front and rear panels, and tears across the spine horizontally in a few places. The jacket is now preserved in a plastic sleeve protector. Scarce in the first printing, even with the sub-par jacket. Laid in are two stapled pamphlets titled "Ben Hogan's Golf" issued by a local insurance company. The pamphlets are #8 - Long Irons, and #9 - Putting, and are 12 and 8 pages respectively.
