Heavy edge wear to the covers and a tear on the front cover at the spine. Notes or marks found in the text on several pages. Title page, which includes a picture of the church, has a gift inscription at the top of the page. 94 pages, plus 18 blank pages for notes. Illustrated with advertisements for local businesses in the Marion, Indiana as of 1923. Recipes for soups, salads, meats, vegetables, and desserts are here with some interestingly-named dishes such as Hassenpfeffer (young rabbit, p. 17), Potatoes O'Brion (with onion, butter, and pimento, p. 24), Lady Baltimore Cake (p. 44), Fairy Banquet Pudding (p. 71), Bacon Sandwiches (with cucumbers and French dressing, p. 75), and the best for last--Rinctum Diddie (eggs, butter, flour, cheese, tomatoes and more-spread it on crackers; p. 84)..
