New York: Hastings House, 1951. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/near fine. Two volumes, first editions (no statement). Large 8vo in color illustrated paper covered boards, map endpapers, 128 and 128 pp. Bright, fresh examples in the original color illustrated dust jackets duplicating the cover designs. Both jackets have bright front and rear panels and light toning to the spines. "Attila" has a short tear and shallow crinkle head of spine. In the special presenation slipcase, black papaer covered with gilt and silver design. Paper label reads: "Special Souvenir Edition/ In Honor Of/ Harold B. Foster/ Creator Of "Prince Valiant"/ And Winner Of The Banshees Award 'The Lady'/ Waldorf-Astoria Ballroom/ November 6, 1952". The edges of the slipcase are worn and there is some staining to the label.
