Richard Sare. London.,1708. Third Edition. 8vo. (7.8 x 5 inches). xvi, 192pp, 16pp, including 4pp of publishers adverts. Three previous owners names, two dated -1720 & 1762, on front blank free endpaper. Overall a very good clean copy in contemporary full red morocco. Spine with raised bands, the compartments decoratively tooled and lettered in gilt. Elaborate gilt panneling on boards with floral and vine corner decorations. All within a double ruled border. Marbled endpapers. The book has been rebacked with the original spine laid down. The inner hinges marbled paper repaired to match. Some cracking and loss to the old leather. The outer corners rubbed and bumped. Overall this is still an attractive early 18th century binding.:
