Volumes bound in quarter green leather over marbled boards. Spine decorated with simple-ruled compartments in gilt, title and volume compartment lettered in gilt. Spines uniformly sunned. Leather at head of vol. II spine chipped, frayed. Else set with shelfwear, rubbing, more pronounced at spine and corners. Speckled edges. Marbled EPs. Vol. I textblock toned, more pronounced towards margins. Light foxing to vol. II. Else internally clean. Text in French. From a series of Stendhal's collected works. Advertised as the "Seule Édition Complète." Printed by Émile Colin (Lagny). This set from the library of noted academic Timothy Cloran (1869-1935) during his time as Department Head at the University of Oregon. His ex-lib stamp to the title page of each volume, dated 1908..
