The "Notice to the General Reader" following the text indicates that the variety of the Scottish Dialect employed in this translation of the Psalms from Hebrew was in daily use by peasants and country gentlemen during the eighteenth century. <br><br>Condition: Limp hardbound in brown, gilt title on cover. Spine is missing sections; however binding is sound. Dampstained edges of both covers at bottom right, only affecting fly leaves. Previous owner's bookplate and name on fly leaves. Evenly toned pages free of writing. 105 pp. Full refund if not satisfied.
