Bound in 3/4 red leather over marbled boards, end papers and edges, black spine with 5 raised bands by A. J. Leary, San Francisco (small ticket 4/5 volumes). 4to. pp. V58-260, iv, Index; V60-274, iv, 12 (Almanack). Index; V61-11-278, iv, Index; V65-264, iv, 12 (Almanack). Index. About Very Good. Odd uniformly bound lot, each with the Bookplate of Thomas Butler Eastland on front pastedowns. Joints and corners rubbed and worn, spotty foxing to first several pages of 2 volumes. Vol. 58 has spine chip, several front hinges starting. Volume 62 has missing and repetitive pagination as follows: iii-20, 31-40, 1-20, 41-52, 83-92, 199-240, 11-30, 83-92, 167-176, 199-208, 241-250, 267-8, 265-6, 263-4, 273-4, 271-4, 109-118, 75-84, 95-104, 117-126, 187-206, 229-250 (An off day for Mr. Leary!). Famous humor and satire periodical issued from 1841 with almanack, from 1900 on with separately issued almanack, now online only. Sold as lot, oversize post at cost (m-bag suggested outside US)..
