About This Item

Los Angeles: Belisarius Productions, 1992. Draft script for season five, episodes one and two, "Lee Harvey Oswald - October 5, 1957 - November 22, 1963: Parts One and Two," of the 1989-1993 television series, here under the working title "Lee Harvey Oswald." SIGNED on the title page by creator and screenwriter Donald P. Bellisario. Script incomplete, ending on page 108, likely missing the last page or two, ending with Sam in the Parkland Hospital Emergency corridor with Jackie Kennedy. Printed on yellow revision leaves.

Season five, episodes one and two were aired consecutively on NBC on September 22, 1992. The episode won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Editing for a Series - Single Camera Production. "Quantum Leap" aired on NBC for five seasons from March 26, 1989 to May 5, 1993.

Scott Bakula stars as physicist Dr. Sam Beckett, who, after an experiment into time travel, finds himself involuntarily "leaping" through spacetime into the past and into the lives of various people. In the first two episodes of the final season, Sam finds himself leaping through the life of Lee Harvey Oswald, and as the November 22, 1963 date of President John F. Kennedy's assassination comes closer, he finds Oswald's personality more and more difficult to control, and his friend Admiral Al Calavicci, played by Dean Stockwell, is finding Sam increasingly difficult to connect with.

Front wrapper integral with title page, dated July 13, 1992, noted with revisions dated 7/20/92 and added scenes dated 9/04/92, with credits for screenwriter Donald P. Bellisario. 118 leaves, with last page of text numbered 108. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, with light dampstaining, bound with two gold brads.
