New York: Harper & Row, Publishers, 1964. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. There is no edition noted on either the Title Page or the Copyright Page. Hard cover in very good condition with red board and gold spine lettering. Front cover contains in an embossed rectangle a facsimile in gold gilt of Victoria's signature. Heavy stock gray endpapers. Text block clean & tight with no markings to note. Papers mildly age toned. Text block edges age toned & dust-dulled. Side text block edges uncut. Contains three sections, four leaves/eight pages each, of glossy black & white portraits, photographs, and illustrations. Bound in before the Index, between pages 604 & 605, is 34 1/2 inch fold-out sheet containing ""The Ancestry & Descendants of Queen Victoria"" (excluding members of the Royal Family not mentioned in the text.) There is a one inch slit along the first fold-line nearest the bound in edge of the long fold out. Concludes with extensive Reference Section and a comprehensive Index. 635 numbered pages. Dust jacket good with light age toning to the paper and tiny chips at each corner. Not price clipped ($8.50.) The book, at its publication in 1964, from the book jacket, was noted as, ""The first major biography of Queen Victoria in more than forty years [and] contains much material not available to Lytton Strachey. In writing it, Lady Longford has had unrestricted access to the Royal Archives and has drawn on unpublished passages from Queen Victoria's celebrated Journals, as well as from many private collections."" An aside: Author Lady Langford is the mother of another famous biographer of Royals, Antonia Fraser.
