About This Item
New York: W. F. Burgess, 1850. First Edition. good. 2 vols. in 1. first edition in English, preceding the Philadelphia edition by 2 years and the London edition by 5. The 11 vol. Paris edition was published serially from 1849 to 1850 suggesting this translation followed hurriedly. Contemporary half morocco, rebacked, spots and stains through vol. I (more to pages 1-16), else a good copy.
