About This Item
[Film] [Photography] Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. Archive of 4 original silver gelatin vintage photographs and Press Booklet. Miramax Films, 1994. All are 5" x 7" in glossy black and white. Also included is a German Press Book for the film which includes a cast list, production information, character descriptions, and the actors and actresses history in other films. 24 pages. Measures 8.25" x 12" and features iconic shot of Uma Thurmnan on the bed smoking a cigarette on the cover. Pulp Fiction is Tarantino's second feature film that follows the lives of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster and his wife, and a pair of diner bandits across time with tales of violence and redemption. The film won the Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival and Best Screenplay at the Academy Awards. Promotional booklet and photos are promoting its Cannes win. Balancing self-references, unconventional structure, and homage to other films, it has been described as a major touchstone of postmodern film. Its mix of violence, dark humor and dialogue established a new style of crime film and made Tarantino one of the most influential directors of his generation. Photos in this archive feature the iconic stars of the film in action shots: The iconic Uma Thurman shot of her on the bed, Bruce Willis embracing Maria de Medeiros, Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta holding their guns, and John Travolta holding his gun during the ending diner scene. All photos and German Press Booklet are in very good to excellent condition.
