Dalbeattie: Thomas Fraser, 1896. Second edition. Hardcover. Good. 8vo, Olive cloth boards with gilt lion illustration on front & gilt titles on spine. Bevelled edges & upper edge gilt. Xiv+ 380 pp + index. Portrait frontis plus black & white illustrations of landscapes, features etc. throughout text, fold out map at rear. Some damp staining on covers, slightly cocked, a little edge wear to corners. Generally nice and clean inside, occasional marks. A gentle stroll through some of the Lowlands of Scotland. Many of these features still exist and you can walk in his footsteps should you wish to.
