Frontispiece portrait engraved by A. H. Ritchie. Back wrapper contains "notices of the Press." This number of Frank Moore's record of the American Civil War, issued during the conflict, consists of various reports on events the first months of 1863, including the continuation of the report on the bombardment of Fort Sumter, begun in the previous number; the bread riots in Richmond, Va.; operations on Bayou Teche, La.; and Col. Streight's raid into Georgia. In Good+ Condition: wrapper is soiled; wrapper starting to separate at upper spine; minor chipping along fore-edge of front wrapper; pages and plate are clean and solid.
