Naval Officer. Richmond: Daniel Murphy, Printer, 1895. 1st ed. 48pp. Later tan morocco backed cloth, red morocco spine label, raised spine band, original printed wrappers bound in. Some chipping to wrappers, else very good. HOWES R-15. Dornbusch II, 1295. Rare, Worldcat locates only nine copies. Rahm served as a lieutenant in the 43rd Virginia under Mosby. He recounts his escape while being transported from the Old Capitol prison to Fort Delaware. Archer served on the Owl. He made a daring entrance into the Confederacy through the alligator-infested swamps of Florida.
