Owner's signature at top of front cover, faint stains, former owner's label on title page. Glue to title page is a typewritten letter from Thomas Martindale, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Canal Commission, to W. B. Stonhead (?), August 1895 (same man who signed cover).
