Publisher's self-wrappers darkened (as are pages), with some rubbing along edges of spine and loss to head, annotated throughout with notes on Neruda and English translations, ownership signature of J. W. Ivy on first blank. First edition thus. 287 pp. 8vo. Residencia en La Tierra was originally published in three parts: in 1933, 1935, and 1947. This version is the first collected printing of the first two volumes. The Tercera Residencia would come out in 1947 in a similar design through Losada.
