NY: Longmans, Green and Co.. VG. 1949. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Stated first edition bound in blue cloth with gold spine lettering. A Very Good copy in a Good dust jacket. Former owner's bookplate is affi xed to the front endpaper. His name stamp is on the front endpaper and fly leaf. The dust jacket has rubs to its corners. Fraying to the hea d and base of its spine. Small edge tears and rubs to the panels. The rear panel is tanned and dust soiled. Tears along the jacket's spine h ave been repaired with tape on its verso. .
