London: Longmans, Green and Co., 1908. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 1908 FIRST EDITION. Rebound in dark orange cloeht with black title patch on spine lettered in gilt, fanciful abstract mountain illustration debossed and painted on front cover. Text block edges likely slightly trimmed. LACKING THE LARGE FOLDING MAP (now supplied in b/w photocopy on several sheets). The book is in near fine condition with clean covers, significant foxing on the first and last several pages, tiny light foxing in outside margin of several pages (many pages completely free of foxing) and some occasional foxing on the tissues guarding the photo plates, no writing or owner marks on any pages, solid binding, lacking the folding map otherwise complete with all plates and pages. The book measures 227m tall x 155mm, and has 330 pages + 1 page of ads at end, 30 b/w photo plates + 1 b/w photo portrait of John Mackenzie, 9 route diagrams, index. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
