Nice condition, 1st edition 7-volume collection of "ROLLO'S TOUR IN EUROPE" by Jacob Abbott from the 1850's. All volumes are illustrated. Published by W.J. Reynolds and Company in Boston. W.J. Reynolds published the first editions of the first 6 books. The Rollo books were meant to teach morality to youngsters.
The collection includes the following books (in order of their issue date):
* Rollo on the Atlantic (1853)
* Rollo in Paris (1854)
* Rollo in Switzerland (1854)
* Rollo in London (1855)
* Rollo on the Rhine (1855)
* Rollo in Scotland (1856)

Condition:
Overall the collection is in very good condition. Cloth fading to the spines; nice corners; the spine bottoms are in good condition but the tops have some fraying. All volumes are tightly bound with no cracks; pages 37-48 of "Paris" are a bit loose at the top edge, no other loose pages found. The text pages are in great condition with no writing or tears found; "Switzerland" has some small, sporadic foxing spots and stains. A few of the volumes have inscriptions on front end papers and a few have bookshop labels affixed to the front pastedowns. A nice condition collection.
