About This Item
The John C. Winston Co. Philadelphia, 1897. 8.125" X 5.625" in dark blue cloth with gilt titles and fancy gilt cover and spine decoration. Gilding has dulled slightly, but still very nice; name and date on flyleaf; small tan stain on title page. Otherwise, quite nice. Handsome: VERY GOOD PLUS. This book comes in a RARE waxed linen jacket which is unfortunately soiled and has a small chip out of the front fore edge: GOOD MINUS. 510pp + a large fold-out map inside the back cover. Illustrated throughout with illustrations from photos. Interesting! [BD045]. Hardcover. Very Good/Good.
Synopsis
Savage Pellucidar is a 1962 science fiction story collection by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the seventh and final book in his series about the fictional "hollow earth" land of Pellucidar. It was published twelve years after Burroughs's death. Like a number of other posthumously published books by Burroughs, this book is not a novel but a collection of short stories.
