Longmans, Green and Co, London, 1902. 2nd Edition. Hardcover. Poor/No Jacket. 427 pages (complete). In general very poor condition. Ex-library (Grahamstown Training College) copy with consequent labels, debris, residue, damage, stamps, annotations, wear, tear and usage. The book is resilient and heroic. The cover is scuffed, marked and worn about all edges and corners. The spine is of library imposed cloth tape. The binding is strong. Inside, the front and end papers are tatty. The frontispage is absent. The early pages have some wear. From thereon the pages are clear, mild, generous, resolute, comfortable, genial and may be read with complete enjoyment, ease and accessibility. fk.
