Vancouver, BC, Canada: Douglas & McIntyre, 1978. 8vo size pictorial hardcover, unpaginated - about 12 pages illustrated with full page, full color illustrations opposite each page of text. From back: "When Simon tries to catch a salmon he encounters the frustrations of any small boy. Actually, catching a fish is more difficult that it looks, unless you are older... Torn between sympathy for the increasingly panic stricken fish and the desire to catch something of his own, Simon eventually decides to build a channel to the incoming tide and let the fish swim free." Back cover also provides some brief information about the author and illustrator. Light wear to covers with lightly bumped spine. There is some ink transfer from the color illustrations to the opposite text page and blank inside covers. There is some soil in the far margin of first two text pages. . Pictorial Cover. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Blades, Ann. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
