London, United Kingdom: Methuen, 1925. Bound in the publishers original red cloth with contrasting black title lettering to spine and front board. There is some offsetting to the front and last endpapers as is common with books of this era. One small previous owners name to top corner of front free endpaper, otherwise the interior pages are in very clean and presentable condition. Light signs of handling to the binding otherwise this is a rather distinguished copy. Not often found in this condition and is hence uncommon. A bright and collectable copy of a scarce Wodehouse early title.. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. FIRST EDITION.
Synopsis
Sam the Sudden is a novel by P. G. Wodehouse, first published in the U.K. on 15 October 1925 by Methuen & Co. , London, and in the U.S. on 6 November 1925 by George H. Doran, New York, under the title Sam in the Suburbs. The story had previously been serialised under that title, in the Saturday Evening Post from 13 June to 18 July 1925.
