About This Item

n.p.: North American Productions, Oreg., Ltd, 1977. Soft cover. Fine. ORIGINAL movie poster (not one of the reproductions) of one of the better Bigfoot movies according to David Coleman, author of The Bigfoot Filmography. Near fine to fine on glossy stock in folded condition (and will be shipped folded) with folds showing. A whopping 27" x 41" in beautiful color. A dramatic image with great color. The poster reads in part, "The Incredible Story of Seven Men Who Defied Death in a Primitive Wilderness Where No Man Had Gone Before ... and Survived to Tell the Shocking Story of this Legendary Creature!" Coleman dedicated almost two full pages in his big, quarto-sized book to this film. I quote: "... notable in the genre for the strange yet fascinating tonal blend it achieves. At once a classic family-friendly nature film and a pseudo-documentary ..." "Remarkably and against all odds ... (the film) skillfully balances the multiple genre formats with assured directorial ease." "The film is also notable for the inclusion of the Roger Patterson footage taken at Bluff Creek." "... for aficionados who appreciate the serious treatment afforded to the subject matter and can recall how terrifying the film was in its day, (the film) remains an all-time 'must-see' in the genre." I must note that it seems a little contradictory to that the film is deemed "family-friend" and "terrifying" at the same time. But guess some families enjoy being terrified together. The film starred George Lauris, Steve Boergadine, Jim Bradford, Ken Kenzle, William Emmons, and Joel Morello. Directed by Ed Ragozzino. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. This is a must acquisition for the serious collector of Bigfoot / Sasquatch material. The only original print of this poster I have ever had.
