Third Edition, bound in contemporary calf with 19th century professional rebacking ornately gilt tooled with red morocco label. ixxxviii (4 advert), 424 pp. Pages xc and 173 misnumbered lxxxviii and 137. "Adorn'd with sculptures" ( 13 full page engravings). Persius's 'Satyrs' has a separate title page. Very Good Plus, 2" chip at head of title page, inscription in ink dated 1799 at top of title page, calf rubbed at corners. A very well bound complete copy of the Third Edition of Dryden's classic translation. . Third Edition. Calf. Very Good Plus/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
