An excellent limited edition of this remarkable facsimile of a collection of satirical letters by Cyrano de Bergerac. A limited edition of this facsimile of Cyrano de Bergerac"s epistolary collection containing numerous satirical letters and handsome descriptions. Privately printed for the members of the Rowfant Club of Cleveland, Ohio. Only one hundred and twenty five copies were printed, of which this is number fifty-three. The first edition in this format, although the volume was originally published in its first true English edition in 1658. A scarce copy. With an introduction by Benjamin Parsons Bourland. Illustrated with three engravings. With the extra spine label bound in to the rear of the volume. In the original publisher"s quarter cloth binding over paper covered boards. Externally lovely with only minor shelf wear and some faint darkening to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with three engravings throughout. Near Fine
