A Chicagoan by birth, Ralph Friedman first saw Oregon at the age of seventeen after hitchhiking and riding boxcars across the country. Oregon was his major interest. Stated Second Printing. Sterling condition softcover copy, with unfurled tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear. Big, fat trade paperback, illustrated, with a state map inside front flap. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. Several score black-and-white illustrations and photographs. xxiii [2], 2-782 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
