The Falcon Press. London. 1946. FIRST EDITION. Large 8vo. (8.5 x 6.3 inches). Illustrated with six full page plates: mono photo portrait frontis, 2 drawings by Gregorio Prieto and 3 plates by Baudelaire, including 2 self portraits. Illustrated endpapers, with line drawings by Prieto, bound in at front and rear. Finely bound, for Truslove & Hanson of London, in mid twentieth century leather binding of half plum calf. Spine with two raised bands, each with gilt piping. Compartments gilt ruled. Beige morocco label, ruled and lettered in gilt. Red cloth on boards. Marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Some very minor rubbing to the extremities but overall a near fine, atractively bound copy.
