About This Item
Lawrence's autobiographical account of the Arab Revolt including the actions against the Hejaz narrow guage railroad and the taking of Damascus. The book is replete with maps and illustrations, mostly of the main characters.
"The sword also means cleanliness and death". - From the cover.
"All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible." - Lawrence.
The volume is in fine condition for its age; the spine is sun-darkened, the boards are lightly bumped, there is an almost invisible darkening of 1/2-inch x 1-inch on the upper part of the linen cover. The pages are all crisp and bright with minor yellowing on the edges.
