Later Printing. Hardcover. Three-color illustrations by Robert De Veyrac. Black cloth spine with illustrated paper-covered boards. The utter opposite of the authors soothing bedtime classic, Goodnight Moon, this book features a gun-toting boy of about ten, whose jacket portrait is reminiscent of a Diane Arbus photo. He enters a sleepy town where everyone whispers. He enters a restaurant and is refused service because he wont whisper. After he kicks doors, shoots his gun, sets off a firecracker, and shouts, he is rewarded with a chicken dinner instead of a trip to jail. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

Old Saratoga Books owners Dan and Rachel Jagareski have been selling books since 1996.
