London: The Bodley Head, 1928. Hardcover (Full Leather). Very Good. Frank C Papé. Full brown, black and red morocco by Marot Rodde with gilt decorations and morocco inlays; original wraps bound in. A lovely book marred by a sunned, darkened, dry and chipped spine. Silk and marbled endpapers, gilt rule turn ins - with a lovely two page illustration by Papé on card stock that was bound in but is now loose but present. A really fine binding with a somewhat less fine spine. In a leather tipped marbled slipcase, worn at corners, bottom edge split. Size: Octavo (8vo). Illustrator: Frank C Papé. Quantity Available: 1.
