The novel was adapted into a feature film in 1995 starring Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle. Mosley was honored in 2020 with the National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters, making him the first African American to receive the honor. President Bill Clinton also cited Mosley as one of his favorite authors in a 1992 interview. Cover is vibrant and features a cubist illustration by John Jinks. Dust jacket has mylar-wrap and features a black and white photograph of Mosley on the back flap. Textblock is tight. In very good condition.
