A charming topographical work showing a series of landscapes, depicted through colourful watercolours. Places shown include Loch Lomond, Glenfinlas, Gorphwysfa, and more.Illustrated with a chromolithograph frontispiece, chromolithograph title page, thirteen chromolithograph plates, and one monochrome plate.Collated, complete.By Arron Penely, who was watercolour-painter in ordinary to William IV and Queen Adelaide. Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at the British Library.Prize label from the Brighton School of Art to the front paste down, dated 1881. Four pages of adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A small amount of loss to the tail of the spine. Light marks to the boards, a fairly large mark to the front board. Minor rubbing to the joints and extremities. Hinges are starting but firm. Prize label to the front paste down. Internally, due to gutta percha binding some pages are loose. Pages are bright and clean with a few scattered spots. Good Only
