Collection of 6 stories by 5 different authors, each orig. published in another collection or in Jack and Jill magazine in the early 1940s. This is the FIRST EDITION in the current format, with charming mid-century illustrations throughout by Hilda Frommholz. Book #2087 in Whtiman's "Cozy Corner" collection (same size as Little Golden Books), this hardcover has pink paper-over-boards decorated with pictures of children in their PJs. Condition is VG+ : extremely clean, stitched binding straight & secure, pages off-white with modest, age-appropriate tanning to edges, else unmarked. Mild rubbing to extremities, heaviest to bottom edges from shelfwear. Tiny hold to spine. Our photos depict the exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
