About This Item

New York: Magyar Szocialista Munkás Szövetség; Munkás könyvkereskedés, 1924. Hardcover. Seventeen pamphlets published by the Magyar Szocialista Munkás Szövetség and Munkás könyvkereskedés, targeting a Hungarian immigrant audience. Authors include Daniel De Leon, Arnold Petersen, Olive M. Johnson, and other Socialist Labor Party leaders, with translators including Zeremann Ferenc, Kudlik Sandor, and Lajos Basky; there are also some essays originally composed in Hungarian. The pamphlets have been bound together in red buckram, apparently by the Party. Spine labels are chipped, cloth mildly worn. The pamphlets are generally very good, except a few have been trimmed rather closely during binding, so the lettering goes right up to the edge of the page. The volume contains the following works. Some are undated and may be from after 1924:

Tizenöt kérdés : az ultramontán politikai gépezetet képviselő providence-i Visitor kérdései és a Szocialista Munkáspártot képviselő Daniel De Leon válaszai (n.d.)

A nagy drágaság kérdése : az árucikkek drágulása igazi okainak felsorolása (1920)

Szocializmus. Mit akarnak a szocialisták? T.J. Holmes előadása. A gyári munka. (1922)

A nő és a szocialista mozgalom (1922)

Az Amerikai munkásmozgalom (1924)

Szocializmus vagy anarchizmus? Daniel De Leon felolvasása Bostonban. (n.d.)

Reform vagy forradalom (n.d.)

A szakszervezkedés égetö kérdése (n.d.)

Két lap a római történelemből (1919)

Ipari unionizmus; Eugene V. Debs beszéde a new yorki Grand central palace-ben, 1905 december 10-én (1919)

Ut a hatalomhoz (1919)

A bányákat a bányamunkásságnak! : felhivas Amerika bányamunkásaihoz, ugy a szén, mint az ércbányászokhoz (1919)
