About This Item
From its opening with the birth of the snowflake in the grey winter clouds above a mountain village;through all the viicissitudes of her career in the deep snows of winter,in the streans, the rivers and lakes, the peaceful countryside and the great cities through which she passes on her long journey to the sea; to the final moment when once again she is drawn up by the heat of the sun into the clouds from which she was born, the story is told with bewitching grace and sincerity.Behind the simplicity of this near fairytale lies a deep sense of the wonder and beauty of the cycle of creation and dissolution and recreation; a feeling expressed in the snowflake's own awe and wonder at the mystery of her being and at the wisdom and love of Him who made her.

Reviews
I own this book and would like to win for my grandchildren and great grandchildren to read. It is a beautiful rendition of the Circle of Life, the Creation Story regardless of your specific religion and an explanation of the what each phase of life from birth to death means. A more beautiful story you could not leave for your children and their children to read or have read to them. This is a book that a hospice patient could enjoy having someone read to him or her.
This is a lovely story for everyone on so many levels. I can see this being read to a child with cancer or other debilitating illness.
