Toronto: McLeod & Allen, 1911 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Second Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Green cloth on boards, lettered and decorated with lyre and olive branch design in gilt. Previous owner's name in light pencil. Warman (1859-1915) became known as "The Poet of the Rockies". Following a common school education in Illinois, he farmed until failing as a wheat broker. He went to Denver, where he was involved in the silver boom, became acquainted with steam railroading, and finally, became an editor. His second wife is credited with inspiring him to write "Sweet Marie," which was featured in the movie, Life With Father, in 1947, and appears in this book on p. 63. 177 pp..
