Based on the 1979 novel by Marie-Claire Blais. A wealthy woman's husband leaves her so she moves into a dilapidated boarding house where she befriends the optimistic landlord and tends to a terminally ill, deaf young man.

Set in Quebec.

Black and white titled illustrated wrappers. Title page present, with credits for screenwriters A. Mazouz and Sylvie Melancon, author Marie-Claire Blais, and translator Raymond Y. Chamberlain. 119 leaves, with last page of text numbered 114. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Very Good plus, with a spiral binding.
