Illustrated with charts and 13 maps, some folding. A tight copy; maps particularly bright. very good plus Limited edition of 425 copies. Though Vancouver's exploration of the area is more well-known; the author provides a new view of the discovery of the northwestern Pacific coastline. The copy of Andrew David with his engraved South Pacific book plate on the front free endpaper. David was a noted cartographer and Pacific historian. 1933
