New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1931. First Edition (stated). . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Avison, George. Bound in red cloth with titles stamped in black. 251 pages. First edition, with corresponding 1931 dates to the title and copyright pages, and the one in parentheses (1) on the final page of the text (252, but unnumbered). With four illustrations by George Avison on plain paper, all present. Volume three in the author's "Cheltham Series". Elaborate ownership information for Grace Minot Cutting (1922-2005) to the front endpapers (she was apparently from a prominent NY family), otherwise unmarked. The cloth shows light edgewear, with a few tiny frays at the head and heel of the spine. Hinges solid; binding square. A clean, tight copy. Mattson & Davis 18600. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
