About This Item

London: Longmans, Green & Co. Ltd, 1893. 1st Edition. Green Cloth. Fair/No Wrapper. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Large. Hodge, T. Type: Z xipp; 347pp; 24pp A fair reading copy of this volume - first edition (1893). 8vo. (green spine). Several illustrations in the text - however there are some illustraitons missing . All of the written textblock is complete. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine and small vignette to the front board. There is some ruibbing and chipping to the cloth at the head and tail of the spine and there of the four board conrers are bumped. There is some splitting to the rear inner hinge fro 5 cm, leaving the rear board a little shaken. Remains of a paper label to the front end paper and a previous owners bookplate to the front paste down. There is loss to the inner lower corner of the half title page and forntipsiece plate - though not affecting the image in anyway. Missing the frontispiece tissue guard. Scattered foxing throughout and a little marginalia to a few pages. However this is a perfectly acceptable reading copy.
