(Originally published, 1898) Smaller book, dark leather, intricate gilt design and "Northland Edition" at bottom front right, ornate gilt design and lettering very good on spine. Badly worn at tips, both long spine edges, and spine edges as well. Three tears along long spine right edge, green-tinged map of story setting inside covers and adjacent end papers. 473 lightly browned pages. Poor--Reading Copy.
